PIONEER UNVEIL ‘PUREVISION’ AT IFA
IN A MOVE to reaffirm the company as one of the leading providers of cutting-edge visual products, Pioneer GB have unveiled their new portfolio of sleek wide screen ‘PureVision’ consumer plasma TVs at IFA.
The 50 inch PDP-503HDE, available in autumn 2001, is one of the largest plasma TVs currently available to consumers and the 43 inch PDP-433HDE, available early 2002, boast a range of exciting new features and represent Pioneer’s commitment to maximising the visual entertainment experience of consumers, allowing them to create and design the ultimate home cinema.
Perfect for consumers, the Pioneer plasma screen for these models comes complete with a media receiver that has a built in analogue tuner. The tuner delivers terrestrial channels to the plasma screen in the same way as standard televisions. The media receiver, however, also allows the consumer to input an array of sources including set-top box, satellite, cable, DVD-Video, VCR, digital video camcorders, digital cameras, games consoles and computer signals up to wide XGA.
The flat screen of both the PDP-503HDE and the PDP-433HDE provide ultra-fine image details in movie screen proportions. Combined with multi-channel surround sound and DVD systems, the plasma TV will become a focal point for living room entertainment systems creating a true cinema experience in the home.
Both the PDP-503HDE and the PDP-433HDE wide-screen televisions are an amazing 9.8 cm thin.
The screens are flat, flicker free and viewable to an angle of 160 degrees horizontally and vertically. They can be wall-mounted or set on a table stand.
The system is also available with an optional pair of side mounted speakers. (CD)
