Mediacorp choose SysMedia Plasma

MediaCorp, one of Singapore's largest and longest-established broadcasters, has chosen SysMedia's Plasma as the basis of a new three-channel interactive information service.
The service is now operational on Channel 5, Channel 8 and Channel News Asia, replacing an outdated analogue television text system.
For UK-based SysMedia, migrating users from a text platform to Plasma required as much attention to workflow and working practices as to the technical issues. External data feeds needed to be handled by the system (including stock exchange information, accommodation listings and classified adverts), and it was important that MediaCorp felt comfortable with their chosen supplier.
SysMedia Major Accounts Executive, Jon Swift, said: "MediaCorp's criteria were not simply technical capabilities but also support infrastructure, reputation in the industry, trustworthiness and the proven ability to deliver a complex system. SysMedia are pleased to have met all of these requirements."
