Panasonic plasma screens add visual excitement to Super Bowl XXXIX

The Super Bowl, North America's most watched sporting event, is being held in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sunday, February 6.
In preparation, the 76,000-seat ALLTEL Stadium, home to the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, has undergone a $60m renovation in advance of the Jaguars' hosting America's premier sporting event - an upgrade that included the installation of 294 high-contrast Panasonic plasma displays.
Phase One of the stadium's refurbishment saw a three-story space constructed in the South End Zone to house the 14,000 sq ft Bud Zone pubic sports bar and the 17,000 sq ft ADT Terrace Suite, a private party suite. In all 90 Panasonic 37" widescreen Professional Series plasma displays are strategically placed throughout the areas.
Phase Two, completed prior to this year's NFL season, comprised the renovation of all 90 private suites, and the remodelling of the two 65,000sq ft East and West Crown Royal Touchdown Clubs.
The upgrades included Panasonic 42" widescreen HD plasma televisions and 24 50" 16:9 Professional Series HD plasma displays comprise the centrepiece of the Clubs which are situated above the new East and West Club Central Bars. Thirty-two 42" Professional Series plasmas have been installed in proximity to the dining areas within each Club. Fifty-two 37" plasma displays have also been placed in the vicinity of the main concession, smaller bars and lounge areas dispersed throughout each Club.
"Our goal is to allow our fans to never miss a moment of NFL football wherever they are in ALLTEL Stadium," said Bill Prescott, the Jaguars' Senior VP of Stadium Operations. "With the added challenge of the Super Bowl ahead, we feel we are well equipped with these hundreds of Panasonic plasmas to offer fans the excitement of the game in the best image quality available."
Monitor feeds can be taken from the team's in-house broadcasting, network television broadcast trucks, the scoreboard or from the internal stadium cable package. For business meetings, the Panasonic Professional Series plasmas are equipped with PC and AV inputs for connecting a laptop computer or playback device for presentations.
Panasonic's Professional Series family boasts top image quality, high contrast (4000:1 on SD models and 3000:1 on HD units) and multi-slot functionality, plus they incorporate significant improvements in peak brightness, displayable colours, 60,000-hour service life, multi-screen capabilities and customisation options.
Built in 1995 at the site of the old Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, the ALLTEL Stadium, is one of this America's top state-of-the-art sports complexes.
