HARRIS INSTALLS ADC-100 SYSTEM AT ALPHA TV

HARRIS Corporation have installed a Harris Automation ADC-100 system at Alpha TV, one of the major private broadcasters in Greece.
The new system, which supports 12 channels in the initial installation, went on air at the end of October.
Central to Alpha TV¹s choice of Harris Automation Solutions was its ability to provide fully redundant device servers for maximum reliability. Under the control of the automation system are Pinnacle MediaStream servers, Panasonic and Sony VTRs, Panasonic robot tape libraries, Oxtel Presmaster switchers, a Pro-Bel router, and three Pinnacle TypeDeko character generators.
Constantinos Colombus, Chief Engineer at Alpha TV, said: "The name Louth itself is synonymous with automation. It has already exceeded our expectations in previous installations, so it was natural for us to turn to Harris for this project. The device server architecture allows us to expand in the future, and the list of devices supported is so comprehensive we needed no additional development on site."
Harris Corporation are an international communications equipment company focused on providing product, system, and service solutions that take their customers to the next level. The company provides a wide range of products and services for wireless, broadcast, network support, and government markets. (CD)
