Harris provide automation system to Lebanese TV

Harris Corporation have been chosen by the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI), Lebanon's major commercial television station, to automate LBCI's multi-playout transmission facility with Harris Broadcast Communications Division's ADC-100 automation system.
The station, which has been in existence for 18 years, currently broadcasts six channels, one within Lebanon and the rest to the Middle East, the United States, Australia, Africa and Europe.
"We have great confidence in Harris products, so when we needed an automation system to run more efficiently we naturally turned to Harris Automation," said Jihad Hachem, head of engineering projects, LBCI. "We are very happy with the system and would not hesitate to use Harris for new projects or future developments."
The ADC-100 system fully automates the dubbing, management and playout of material for the new LBCI installation. In addition to the ADC 100 automation system, Harris have supplied a backup ADC 100 Device Server with Air Protect auto changeover; Harris Air Client system, which permits playlist editing while integrating control over the entire system; and Media Client, a preparation system for timing, dubbing and cataloguing material for playout.
