Harris complete second broadcast Automation System in Moscow

Following closely on the heels of a major contract win at Russian broadcaster RTR, Harris Automation Solutions have announced the sale of a second ADC-100 system to RTR's daughter company Kultura.
As its name suggests, Kultura is a cultural channel, broadcast across Russia. To meet the main time zones of such a massive country, Kultura will require six independent playlists.
Most material will be played out from a 19-channel Seachange server network.
The transmission network also includes six VTRs, two of which are dedicated to ingest using the Harris Media Client. The Media Client can control both single spot and multispot commercial tapes. A Thomson Venus switcher accomplishes routing.
The Harris Automation system communicates with other party traffic and asset management systems. The comprehensive program database is stored on an SQL server, linked to the automation system using Harris¹s Metalink software option. The playlist is prepared on a custom traffic system developed by VIP International, and later is converted to ADC file format prior to transfer.
The Harris Automation System provides full redundancy and uses Harris Air Protect software for automated switchover.
The Moscow Harris Automation Solutions office provides support for the Harris Automation system.
Russian company, ISPA, will perform system integration for the Kultura installation.
This second sale in recent months follows the establishment of a Moscow office for Harris Automation Solutions.
