ISKRA TELEVISION ANNOUNCE ONLINE DEALS
ISKRA Television, the UK based distributor of clips, programmes and formats have announced a series of recent deals done via their online service Iskra Shorts.
Most notably amongst these is a volume deal of 300 clips to TV3 – part of Viasat Broadcasting which operates in Scandinavia, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Russia.
The clips have been bought with the intention of supplying the successful ‘Without Taboos’ magazine show with up to the minute material.
Formerly the ‘Soft News Syndicate’ this web based library service, specialising in the gathering and distribution of mini news items and features is bucking the trend in the current market place by increasing overall clip sales for the company by 15 per cent.
Other recent deals include sales to the USA, Holland and Belgium.
This deal underlines that Iskra Shorts, in the relative short time it has been in existence, is already representing real key revenue streams for companies that might not have been able to exploit material to such niche territories and markets without incurring significant cost. (CD)
