IGL offer glimpse of Artbeats clips at The Production Show

Imagine Graphics Ltd (IGL), specialists in computer display technology and digital video systems, have launched their brand new set of royalty free footage clips at The Production Show 2002.
The company will distribute Artbeats Digital Film Library clips as client demand for stock media shot in HD is steadily becoming more commonplace.
Standard definition (PAL or NTSC) versions of the titles are also produced from the same original 35mm film or CGI stock and therefore retain many of the high-quality features of HD.
Norman Garland, Managing Director of IGL, said: “We are beginning to see a marked increase in the amount of titles being produced in HD because of the increasing demand for and interest in HD production, especially in the USA and Japan which is where we usually see the future trends for the UK. So we’re happy to be one of the first to be able to service this growing market. HD equipment is used in the SD process to retain many of the improved quality features.”
Most of the footage is sourced from 35mm film with between 15 to 40 clips on each product delivered as PAL, NTSC or HD 1920x1080 resolution QuickTime movies on CD-ROM. Each compilation covers a single category and the footage can be used in virtually any Windows, MacOS or SGI-based digital video editor, compositer or 3D programme. Most applications accept the Artbeats QuickTime clips straight from the CD-ROM.
Based in St Albans, IGL were established in 1992 to provide top-of-the-range computer display technology and digital video systems. Products and services include ReelTime digital video servers, Adtec’s ‘edje’ MPEG digital video player and network appliance, Visual Circuits Corp’s MPEG decoder cards and the Firefly digital video player. With over 130 title collections, IGL's library spans many subjects including nature, timelapse, effects, backgrounds, aerials, lifestyles and landscapes.
Imagine Graphics was rated in the recently inaugurated Sunday Times/ARM Tech Track 100 league table of fastest-growing unquoted technology companies in the UK. Deloitte and Touche also rate IGL as the eighth fastest-growing company in the east of England.
