Pinnacle Systems strengthens UK sales team

Pinnacle Systems have announced the appointment of Gary Lewis as Regional Sales Manager to the Northern Europe broadcast and professional sales team.
Lewis is to be responsible for channel development for the full range of broadcast and professional products in the UK and The Netherlands. He will also take an active role in further development of direct sales in the region.
Bringing a great deal of valuable experience to Pinnacle Systems, Lewis's career includes senior sales positions at Panasonic, Boxer Systems and Quantel. Most recently he was Business Development Manager at Discreet where he achieved an impressive list of high profile sales. An honours graduate in graphics 3D design, he spent time at ITN as a graphics operator and as a product specialist at Techex before moving into sales.
Richard Scott, VP EAME, and Managing Director Broadcast & Professional Division, Pinnacle Systems, said: “I am thrilled that Gary is part of our team. He is well known and respected in the UK among broadcasters and the channel. His background in non-linear editing is especially relevant at a time when demand for our range of Liquid non-linear editors is growing all over Europe. Gary’s appointment is an important signal of our commitment to strengthen the presence of Pinnacle Systems in the broadcast and professional markets.”
Lewis commented: “I am very happy to come to Pinnacle Systems. I have worked in the industry for a number of years and have been watching the range and reputation of the company grow at an impressive pace. I am especially happy to join at a time when the recent focus on solutions is yielding real results. I am excited by the thought of working with the new Liquid range and I’m confident I can contribute quickly to the continued success of Pinnacle.”
