Pinnacle Systems Liquid Chrome installed at police imaging unit

Pinnacle Systems have announced that West Yorkshire Police Imaging Unit have installed five Pinnacle Liquid Chrome editing systems.
The solution went live in May 2004 and forms the backbone of the unit's sophisticated video editing operations. Following a dramatic rise in the use of video material within the police force, Pinnacle Liquid Chrome has been installed as part of a programme to meet such demand and to further the unit's editing capabilities.
Based in Wakefield, the Imaging Unit's advanced postproduction operations serve the entire video editing needs of the West Yorkshire Constabulary, as well as providing specialised support to other police forces throughout the UK. The West Yorkshire Police force is the fourth largest in the country, serving approximately 2.1 million people. The unit plays an integral role in the preparation of criminal evidence, such as CCTV and surveillance video material.

Pinnacle Liquid Chrome offers a suite of creativity-enhancing software including the powerful TitleDeko Pro character generator, Commotion Pro image editing and compositing, Impression DVD Pro authoring and Pinnacle Liquid CX colour correction.
To complement the editing of video evidence, the Imaging Unit will also be using the new solution in the creation of employee training videos and internal video production. Future activities will include editing services for the making of public education videos, which the police force use in a range of scenarios from community outreach programmes to road safety campaigns within local schools.
