David Barnby appointed General Manager of Pinnacle Systems EMEA

Pinnacle Systems has named David Barnby General Manager for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Barnby, a veteran sales and marketing executive with solid industry credentials, will reinforce Pinnacle’s strong digital video market position in the EMEA region and will report directly to Pinnacle CEO Patti Hart.
“We welcome David to the Pinnacle team,” said Hart. “With his track record in sales and marketing, David is the ideal candidate to continue driving the strong performance of Pinnacle’s extensive line of consumer and broadcast digital video solutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.”
Barnby will serve as a key member of the corporate executive management team and will be the most senior executive in the EMEA region. He will be responsible for developing an organisational vision for Pinnacle Systems by working effectively with the CEO and senior executives, in addition to having full responsibility for sales and distribution.

Barnby joins Pinnacle Systems from Thales, where he most recently served as Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing with responsibilities for 6,000 employees and more than $1.4 billion in revenue. Prior to Thales, Barnby was the European Director of Integration at Hewlett Packard, where he orchestrated the successful merger of HP’s consumer and commercial printing business organisations in Europe.
