The King Of Soho Comes To LipSync
LipSync will provide equity investment and post-production services on Michael Winterbottom’s forthcoming feature film, The King of Soho.
The film is based on the life of Paul Raymond, the infamous porn baron who owned Britain’s first strip club, the Raymond Revue Bar, and published adult titles including Razzle and Mayfair. The film stars Steve Coogan as Raymond, as well as AnnaFriel, Imogen Poots and Tamsin Egerton.
The King of Soho is produced by Winterbottom’s Revolution Films, with production partners Studio Canal, Film 4 and LipSync, and has recently been shooting in and around Soho, London.
Norman Merry, Financial Director, LipSync, said: "As a film maker, Michael Winterbottom has consistently told interesting, challenging and uncompromising stories, and The King of Soho promises to uphold those standards. It’s also fun to be involved in a story that is set so close to our front door."
