Lipsync purchase two digital film scanners
Soho's Lipsync Post have ordered two Northlight 35mm digital film scanners from FilmLight, which will be shortly installed in the Wardour Street facility's Digital Film Department.
The announcement coincides with the news that Alasdair MacCuish, formerly head of the digital lab at Framestore CFC, is joining Lipsync, and that the company is the first UK post house to have installed two Arri laser film recorders.
Lipsync Post Director Peter Hampden said: "The acquisition of two Northlight scanners, with their acknowledged image quality, positions us at the very forefront of digital film services.
"Northlight is the highest quality film digitising system in the world and it’s great being able to buy such equipment from a UK company. In the last eighteen months we have invested more than £1.5 million in our Digital Film Department which has led to a dramatic rise in workload - both for new clients and for established customers using our graphics and sound facilities."
