IBC product launch and headquarter expansion for Quartz

Quartz Electronics have launched important new products and developments at IBC2002 including a range of AES and Analogue Audio routers, HD routing and enhancements to the System Controller & QMC Master Control Switcher.
The new versatile Q256 Digital Audio Router supports both digital and analogue I/Os around a flexible digital core. It is configurable from 32x32 to 256x256 in just 16U and up to 1024x1024 with expansion frames. New 16x16 and 32x32 digital audio routers are also available.
HD routing is now offered in the Q256 Serial Video Router, handling SD and HD routing in the same frame for configurations from 32x32 to 256x256. Other HD Products include the 16x2 and 8x2 HD routers and the HD QMC - providing all the core features of the SD QMC for HD environments.
Quartz Electronics have also recently completed a major building expansion programme that increases the size of its two-storey Reading headquarters from 8,000 to over 16,000 square feet marking the company's sustained growth over recent years.
The enlarged premises include a prestigious new showroom, facilities for demonstrations and customer training along with a dedicated area for system acceptance testing.
The expansion also doubles Quartz' manufacturing capacity, supporting the company's increasing business and allowing a faster turnaround of orders. Existing areas have been restructured to improve facilities for software development and technical support.
Managing Director Alan Edwards, Quartz' founder, said: "This expansion is in response to the sustained growth of our business activities in Britain and worldwide over the past few years. The additional building means that Quartz now spans two adjoining units of Suttons Business Park, providing extra space for future development and allowing the company to keep ahead of market demands."
A market leader in broadcast routing and master control, Quartz designs and manufactures a wide range of products for all major signal formats and transmission standards. The company have achieved a reputation for the reliability and flexibility of their product solutions with the expanding range offering excellent value, effective technical support and innovative designs using the latest technology.
