UK Film Industry To Be Represented At The Association Of Film Commissioners

International (AFCI) Locations Show taking place in LA on 15-16 June. Promoting the UK as a world-class filming destination for film and TV production, the stand is backed by all the UK’s Screen Commissions: the British Film Commission, Creative England, Creative Scotland, Film Agency for Wales, Film London, Northern Ireland Screen and Wales Screen Commission.
Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of the British Film Commission said: “I am delighted we have a strong unified UK presence at AFCI this year. The UK has a fantastic offer for high end feature films and last year production spend in the UK was at a record high – at over £1bn – and we need to continue to build on that 6uccess.
“By proactively promoting the UK internationally, together with our partners, we aim to attract further investment as well as laying the ground work for the new TV tax credit, announced by the Government earlier this year.”
The Locations Show takes place at the LA Convention Centre, with the UK stand at booths 707, 709 & 711. The agencies will be promoting the very best of the UK industry, including its superb locations, state-of-the facilities, the highly skilled workforce and outstanding talent. The British Film Commission will also be hosting a networking reception to allow the film industry based in LA to meet the UK Screen Agencies. The event is by invitation only.
