KEO Films Expands With Scotland Office

Award-winning indie KEO Films has announced its expansion with the launch of KEO North.
The strategic move will enable KEO not only to expand but also fulfil its ambitions to make programming right across the UK.
Andrew Palmer, Creative Director of KEO Films, said: "Scotland, with its vast and diverse landscape, offers the opportunity to develop new projects from a fresh palette. We are excited about the talent base in Scotland and are very keen to encourage as much cross-fertilisation as possible by running the London and Glasgow development departments as a single unit."
KEO North will have a wealth of Scottish talent, headed up by Craig Hunter, who will be operating as Executive Producer for Specialist Factual for the indie. Hunter's responsibilities will be to further the indie's strategy in specialist factual programming as well as oversee the running of the Glasgow office and executive produce future KEO North projects.
He joins KEO from IWC Media where he was Specialist Factual Producer Director and Development Producer. Recent credits include Britain's Lost World (BBC2) and the documentary series Terry Pratchett: Living with Alzheimer's (BBC2), with development credits including Stephen Hawking: Master of the Universe (C4) and The Genius of Charles Darwin (C4).
Craig Hunter added: "Scotland is a really exciting place to be at the moment. With commitment from broadcasters, KEO films can build on the already established foundations of talent that exists here. For a long time I have admired KEO Films and I am really excited about bringing their brand to Scotland; it is an affiliation I know will work well."
Supporting Craig is Julietta Fosberry, Specialist Factual Development Producer for KEO North. Julietta has an extensive CV of Specialist Factual credits in development and production such as The Miracles of Jesus (BBC One) and The Shroud of Turin (BBC Two) among others.
Dee Edmonds, Production Manager, will be responsible for all production out of the new office as well as overseeing the running of the edit suites; she has wide-ranging experience and has production managed projects for a variety of companies, including STV, Mentorn Scotland and Angel Eye Media.
Researcher Kate Wilson also joins and has experience working for Tern TV, as well as at BBC Scotland.
KEO North's development has been supported by Scottish Enterprise through its Training Plus funding for new job creation.
