BBC Scotland Celebrates Success At RTS Scotland Awards

The BBC in Scotland celebrated a hugely successful night at the RTS Scotland Awards ceremony in Glasgow picking up a bumper crop of gongs across multiple categories including Best Drama (Guilt) to Best Director (Matt Pinder - The Hunt For Bible John) and Best Documentary and Specialist Factual (Darren McGarvey’s Class Wars).

Titles across the BBC Scotland channel, BBC One Scotland, BBC One and BBC ALBA were recognised at the ceremony which was held at the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow. Hosted by Des Clarke, Shereen Cutkelvin and Lawrence Chaney, the BBC in Scotland triumphed in 17 out of the 21 categories in which it was nominated.

Commenting on the success, Louise Thornton, head of commissioning at BBC Scotland said: "This success is testament to the incredible creative talent that exists in Scotland with whom we continue to support and collaborate. Audiences have told us how much they enjoy our programmes and it’s great to see them recognised by the industry in this way. Congratulations to all the winners."
