KEO Films 'Meets The Amish' For Channel 4

It has been announced that KEO Films has been commissioned by Channel 4 to make Meet the Amish, a follow-up to their BAFTA-nominated and RTS award-winning 2007 series Meet the Natives.
During the Amish period of Rumspringa, teenagers can experience the outside world in order to decide whether to be baptised into the Amish church or leave their community. Meet the Amish brings five Amish teens from the US to meet their British counterparts in four very different families - from polo fans to rock festival fanatics and a dance troupe - and challenges both the hosts and the visitors to learn something new. Meet the Amish will TX in Q4.
Zam Baring, MD of KEO Films, said: "In Meet the Amish we have taken the core idea of the hugely successful Meet the Natives and are hoping to provide a new and insightful perspective on the lives, hopes and dreams of British teens, as well as a glimpse into the endlessly fascinating Amish culture."
Meet the Amish is executive produced by Andrew Palmer for KEO Films. It was series produced by Claire Whalley and directed by Harry Beney, both of whom worked on the BAFTA award-winning The Choir for BBC2. It was commissioned by Simon Dickson at Channel 4.
