BDL-Autoscript to supply Finnish broadcaster
BDL-Autoscript have received an order from Finnish national broadcaster YLE for five complete prompting systems.
The prompters will be installed in regional centres across the country, primarily for the new magazine news show 'Alueuutiset'. Studiotec, BDL's Finnish distributor, were the primary contact for the order.
Ilkka Toivanen, Studiotec's project manager, said: "YLE turned to BDL-Autoscript because they knew they could rely on excellent open service and support, speedy delivery and a very high quality product.
"To meet the particular needs of this programme BDL have developed an interface to YLE's newsroom computers. Each regional studio is different, so we will be supplying a range of TFT displays from 5" to 12". The presenters will be operating their prompters themselves, so each base station is equipped with a foot controller."
The five new systems will be delivered in early October.
