Autoscript Sell Portable Prompting Systems to Doordarshan
Autoscript has announced the sale of eight portable prompting systems to Doordarshan, the official public broadcasting television channel in India.
Autoscript has supplied eight portable prompting systems to be used on locations. The combination of Hi-Brightness TFT screens and Autoscript's WinPlus News XBOX USB system, allow for fast set and ease of use, without compromising on production needs. The WinPlus News Software also allows for direct access to the Newsroom system while on location and the ability to be stand alone, when required.
With one of the largest terrestrial - and burgeoning digital - networks in the world, Doordarshan also has one of the world's largest studio systems, with 59 programme production centres generating 1,700 programmes hours per week for 27 channels distributed by more than 1,400 transmitters.
Subhash Sharma of Autoscript distributor Cinecita Comoptronics Industries in Mumbai, said: "This sale now means that Autoscript provides more than 95 per cent of all the prompting equipment in use at Doordarshan. Doordarshan keeps coming back to Autoscript, not just for their excellent service and reliability, but because they provide innovative technology that works straight out of the box."
"To be chosen by Doordarshan is testament to our tried and trusted technology," said Brian Larter, Managing Director, Autoscript UK. "By fully understanding what Doordarshan required - and basing our recommendations our first-hand knowledge and experience in the practical
applications prompting technology - we were able to provide a unique range of specific benefits unique to Autoscript."
