Portman Picks Up Rights To Ozzie And Kiwi Drama's

Portman Film & Television, part of the Digital Rights Group (DRG) has picked up the international distribution rights to a range of brand new drama titles from top networks in Australia and New Zealand.
Titles include 'Canal Road' a 13 x 1 hour returnable format set in Melbourne, from Nine Network Australia; 'The Hothouse', a 7 x 1 hour primetime drama series produced by The Gibson Group for TV One New Zealand and the 1 x 100’ TV Movie 'Blood In The Sand', produced by Taylor Media and commissioned by ABC Australia. Portman Film & Television will launch the new drama titles to the international marketplace at MIP-TV in April.

A new drama series from Nine Network Australia, Canal Road is set in a thriving medical-legal centre in the heart of Melbourne. Each self-contained episode exposes the secret lives of the centre's professionals and the clients who seek their help.
The Hothouse, produced by The Gibson Group, the company behind the award-winning series The Insiders Guide to Happiness, follows the complicated lives of a group of twenty-something's who share a run down, but very cool, inner-city apartment.
TV Movie Blood In The Sand, produced by Taylor Media and commissioned by ABC Australia, is a true crime story, set in rural Australia in 1928.
