Lionsgate Television International Renews Agreement With Prime Television New Zealand

On the heels of one of its most successful LA Screenings markets in company history, Lionsgate Television International has renewed its long-term output agreement with Prime Television New Zealand.
The deal which was brokered by Tim Stuart, Vice President, Asia Pacific international television, and Lisa Clements, Associate Business Manager, SKY Network Television Limited, was announced by Craig Cegielski, EVP, programming & sales international television.
According to Lionsgate's Mr Cegielski, the agreement includes original primetime network (broadcast and cable) programming that aired in the U.S.
As well, a select number of first-run feature films form part of the output package deal. Essentially, through this agreement, Prime Television New Zealand has secured the premiere window for any of these products in the New Zealand marketplace.
Mr Cegielski said: "During the last five years, we've diligently focused on building the Lionsgate brand outside of the U.S.
"I'm very pleased to say that a deal of this magnitude with a widely respected broadcaster such as Prime Television New Zealand is a reflection of this type of effort."
Prime Channel Manager Karen Bieleski said: "Lionsgate has firmly established itself as a producer and distributor of high quality programming in various genres around the globe.
"Thanks to this strategic volume deal we look forward to not only being able to share their series and films with our incredibly loyal television audience, but also utilizing this programming to attract new groups of viewers."
