BAFTA Cymru And Wales Mellennium Centre Announce Partnership

BAFTA Cymru and Wales Millennium Centre (WMC) have announced their partnership for the 2008 BAFTA Cymru awards, producing the most exciting and unique Media awards ceremony ever to be staged in Wales.
Torchwood’s Eve Myles was present at the launch on Friday night at the venue for the awards ceremony alongside BAFTA Chairman Paul Islwyn Thomas and Millennium centre Chief Executive Judith Isherwood.
The 17th BAFTA Cymru awards will be held in the Donald Gordon Theatre seating over 1900 people and around 250 lucky members of the public can attend for the first time in the awards history and will be able to purchase tickets for the star studded ceremony to be held on Sunday 27th April.
The ceremony promises to honour Welsh stars in 32 individual categories plus the illustrious Siân Phillips, Lifetime Achievement and Gwyn Alf awards.
Paul Islwyn Thomas, Chair of BAFTA Cymru commented: “BAFTA Cymru is committed to promoting the highest standards in TV, Film and new media production and we are delighted to be staging the 2008 awards at WMC. We will be producing a wonderful event to celebrate the very best talent and world class productions from Wales."
