4LEARNING SCOOP TWO BAFTA AWARDS
AT the BAFTA Children's Awards, 4Learning picked up another two awards to add to their impressive tally this year.
They won best pre-school live-action with ‘The Hoobs’, and best animation with ‘Animated Tales of the World - Aunt Tiger’. This is the 8th award Animated Tales of the World has won since its launch in September 2000.
4Learning also scooped three categories and landed the overall Grand Prix award in the IVCA Biz-Nets, plus awards at the prestigious Electronic Multimedia Awards (EMMA's), announced last week.
Real Deal - a website for budding entrepreneurs, was made the 2001 Biz-Net Awards Grand Prix Winner, beating stiff competition from BBC News Online and learn.co.uk and was made overall winner in the Biz-Net Learning Category. On the same day, 4Learning also won in the EMMA’s. Real Deal won the Lifestyle category (Public Institutions/Services/Information), while GridClub, Channel 4's fun, free and safe website for children aged 7-11, won the E-Learning category for 0-18 year olds.
These awards follow on from the notable seven awards, out of eleven categories, at the prestigious RTS Education Awards. The awards were for schools programmes, adult factual series and online learning. (CD)
