The Chimney Pot Invest In Digital Vision

Digital Vision has announced that top post production facility group The Chimney Pot has made a substantial investment in new Digital Vision equipment for its sites in Norway, Poland and Sweden.
The purchase includes two DVNR SD/HD with AGR4 ME and ASC3 ME image processing units for work on both features and commercials in Poland and Sweden, and two Film Master colour grading systems - one for commercial work and one for features - which will be replacing the competitor Autodesk's system, Lustre, at The Chimney Pot Norway.
The Chimney Pot CEO Henric Larsson commented: "Superior noise reduction and dust bust are essential on almost every project. The Film Masters offer speed, workflow flexibility and state of the art technology especially its DVO image enhancement tools. It has everything we need including powerful list management."
"We are delighted to be playing such a significant part in The Chimney Pot's expansion and upgrade plans," said Digital Vision President and COO, Simon Cuff. "These additional sales confirm the global pre-eminence of our products in high end post-production. The DVNR and Film Master systems lead the way now in terms of performance, feature set and quality of output. We have made large investments in these product lines over the past 24 months and this has secured us the technical superiority for mastering and grading across all formats and applications."
The purchase of the new equipment comes in the middle of a period of expansion for The Chimney Pot. The company comprises seven facilities across Europe and Larsson plans to open a new site at Lindholmen in Gothenburg, Sweden later on in 2007.
Digital Vision provides innovative image restoration, enhancement, colour correction and data conforming systems that major movie studios, television networks and post-production facilities use to produce and enhance feature films, TV programs and commercials. The company's Nucoda product line provides a strong suite of products for tapeless and non linear grading for HD broadcast and 2k/4k digital intermediate productions. The company's award-winning products are a standard of the media and entertainment industry and are deployed at top facilities and broadcasters around the world.
Digital Vision AB was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with two wholly owned subsidiaries, Digital Vision (US) in Los Angeles, California, and Digital Vision UK in London, England.
