Digital Vision Supplies Singapore Restoration Project

News Image
Digital Vision has provided a Nucoda grading systems and three Phoenix restoration systems to the Film Restoration School Asia project underway in Singapore.
The six-day project, run by the National Museum of Singapore in collaboration with the Cineteca di Bologna, L'Immagine Ritrovata and Martin Scorsese's World Cinema Foundation, aims to provide film preservation and restoration training to safeguard the region's shared cinematic heritage.
The programme includes screenings, lectures and hands-on lessons, with the goal of addressing the current issues surrounding film preservation and restoration.
Patrick Morgan, Product Manager for Phoenix, said: "We have worked extensively with Ritrovata over the years and are proud to support this special event. It is imperative to preserve archive film, not just as a source of monetisation but, more importantly, to save culturally significant films for future generations."
Digital Vision's systems will be supported by hard drives from G-Technologies and the PRM 4220 monitor from Dolby.
