Prasad Group extends Digital Vision portfolio with DVNR image processing systems
Digital Vision, a leading developer of advanced digital media applications specialising in film and video solutions, has revealed that famous pioneering Indian film postproduction studio, Prasad Group, has purchased two Digital Vision DVNR image processing systems to add to its existing DVNR portfolio.
Prasad will use these new motion-compensated DVNR systems in their Chennai facility, where they will play a critical role by removing imperfections, excessive grain, film dust and random scratches from dailies before they are assessed by the producer.
Sai Prasad, Prasad Group Director commented: “We have been using Digital Vision DVNRs at other Prasad facilities for some time now and we have been extremely impressed with the quality of image that the system delivers. The new motion-compensated DVNR systems will help us operate much more efficiently since we can provide our clients with extremely high quality images using an automated process. The DVNR is an integral part of the Prasad film processing workflow.”
The Prasad Group is synonymous to the entertainment industry with a history spanning 50 years producing and post producing some of India’s most prestigious movies. The company has a number of facilities across India as well as Singapore, Dubai and a DI facility in the heart of LA’s film community.
Robert Ekström, President of Digital Vision, concluded: “We are delighted to announce this additional sale of DVNR systems to the Prasad Group. Digital Vision continues to show that its products are recognised by the film and broadcast industries as the most creative in the business.”
