'White Dress' Dazzles At Stella Artois Awards
The Bord Scannán na hÉireann/Irish Film Board funded short film 'The White Dress' has won the Stella Artois Award for the Best Irish Short at the 19th Seagate Foyle Film Festival.
Directed by Vanessa Gildea and produced by David Lawless of Brazen Films, the piece tells the story of a little girl on her Holy Communion day.
The film has already received a Special Recommendation in the Irish short film category at the Cork Film Festival 2006.
The project was produced under the BSÉ/IFB backed scheme Short Shorts which encourages the making of ultra short Irish films and fosters new talent within the industry.
