Irish Film And Television Awards Entry Now Open

The Call for Entries for the 4th Annual Irish Film and Television Awards is now open. Submissions are invited for categories in film, television, shorts and animation.
The deadline for entries is October 31, 2006.
The Irish Film & Television Awards are open to talented craftspeople working within the film and television industries in Ireland, as well as those working in the international arena.
Now in its fourth year, the gala Award ceremony will be held in Dublin on February 9, 2007.
The winners of the 4th Annual Irish Film and Television Awards will be decided, for the first time, by an official Irish Film and Television Academy vote. Currently, there are 33 voting categories of Awards with additional People's Choice Awards and Lifetime Achievement Awards to be announced at a later date.
The Categories Are:

  • Best Film

  • Best Director

  • Best Script

  • Best Cinematography

  • Best Music

  • Best Production Design

  • Best Hair & Make-Up

  • Best Costume Design

  • Best Actor in a Lead Role in a Feature Film

  • Best Actress in a Lead Role in a Feature Film

  • Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Feature Film

  • Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Feature Film

  • Best Single Drama / Drama Serial

  • Best Drama Series / Soap

  • Best Current Affairs / News Programme

  • Best Children's / Youth Programme

  • Best Entertainment Programme

  • Best Factual Entertainment Programme

  • Best Sports Feature

  • Best Single Documentary

  • Best Documentary Series

  • Best Sound

  • Best Editing

  • Best Actor in a Lead Role in Television

  • Best Actress in a Lead Role in Television

  • Best Short Fiction

  • Best Animation

  • Best Breakthrough

  • Special Irish Language Award
