Mobile Multimedia exhibitions push 'fourth screen' at IBC 2006

With 2.5 billion mobiles in use worldwide, the emergence of the 'fourth
screen' is one of the biggest topics of debate at this year's IBC.
Featuring exhibitors from IBC's Mobile Zone, all early pioneers in the
mobile multimedia market, the free-admission Business Briefings cover
the latest delivery technologies, the repurposing of content for mobile,
and the importance of the user experience to viewers on the move.
Companies presenting include National Grid Wireless, Texas Instruments,
Nokia, Qualcomm, Ericsson, Grass Valley, Nagravision, Harris, Snell &
Willcox, BT Movio, S3 Group, Orange and Bluestreak.
In the exhibition, the Mobile Zone, jointly developed and marketed by
IBC, IT Europa and BPL, has doubled in size since last year and will
bring together applications developers, content providers and technology
companies to demonstrate how mobile is impacting on the creation,
management and delivery of content. Innovative technologies that change
the way people consume and enjoy content, especially when on the move,
can be seen in the Innovation Showcase in the IBC New Technology Campus.
