Larger IBC Mobile Zone To Meet Surge In Demand

Following the success of last year's show, the Mobile Zone at IBC2007 is being increased in size by 75% to more than 2,500 sq m (a five-fold increase over 2005).
The expansion mirrors the development of the Mobile TV market which has been forecast to grow from around 6 million subscribers today to more than 130 million subscribers in 2010. As the number of subscribers grows and new forms of handsets are introduced, the delivery of broadcast content to mobile devices will revolutionise the communications world.
The IBC2007 Mobile Zone will bring together applications developers, content providers and technology companies to showcase their capabilities at heart of the world's leading broadcasting exhibition. In addition to demonstrating the latest developments in mobile TV and 3G services, the Mobile Zone will feature the latest innovations in mobile devices and explore their impact on the creation, management and delivery of content.
This year's Mobile Zone will be accompanied by the IBC2007 Mobile Zone Business Briefings expanded from 2 days to 3) to which attendance is free. These briefings will examine some of the issues and opportunities arising from this revolution in mobility in further detail and are intended to reinforce and complement the established peer reviewed, paid-delegate IBC Conference.
The IBC2007 Mobile Zone is being jointly developed and marketed by IBC, IT Europa and BPL.
IBC2007 takes place from September 7 - 11, 2007 at the RAI, Amsterdam.
