Mobile Zone To Expand Further At IBC 2007
Now in its third year, the Mobile Zone has continued to expand to reflect IBC’s global reach and influence, and as a result in 2007 it will be taking the whole of Hall 12.
The Mobile Zone provides a unique opportunity for application developers, content providers and technology companies to showcase their capabilities at the centre of the broadcast industry's leading international conference and exhibition.
Recent advances in mobile technologies and services have opened the door to the delivery of a vast range of broadcast content via an increasing array of mobile devices. The mobile revolution that has resulted from the convergence of IT, telecoms and broadcast technologies has created vast opportunities for application developers, content providers and technology companies alike.
The IBC Mobile Zone has been created to bring together all the latest advances in technology and applications to demonstrate the possibilities and opportunities arising from this revolution. In addition to showcasing the latest developments in mobile TV and 3G services, the Mobile Zone will feature the latest innovations in mobile devices and explore their impact on the creation, management and delivery of content. The accompanying IBC Mobile Zone Business Briefings will examine some of the issues and opportunities arising from this revolution in mobility in further detail.
Last year’s exhibition and business briefings featured many of the world’s leading organisations in the field of mobile content delivery. Exhibitors included: National Grid Wireless, Texas Instruments, Nokia, Qualcomm, Ericsson, Grass Valley, Nagravision, Harris, Snell & Willcox, BT Movio, S3 Group, Bluestreak Network, Samsung, SIDSA, Digital Rapids, Axcera, Open Mobile Alliance, SafeNet, bmco forum.
