Last Chance To Exhibit In The Mobile Zone At IBC 2009
Now in its fifth year, the Mobile Zone has continued to develop to reflect IBC's global reach and influence.
The Mobile Zone provides a unique opportunity for application developers, content providers and technology companies to showcase their capabilities at the centre of the broadcast industry's leading international conference and exhibition.
Recent advances in mobile technologies and services have opened the door to the delivery of a vast range of broadcast content via an increasing array of mobile devices. A recent report by RNCOS predicts that the global Mobile TV subscriber base will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 60% during the period from 2007 to 2010. Western Europe is expected to lead the way and to account for the majority of Mobile TV service revenue by 2010.
This mobile revolution, resulting from the convergence of IT, telecoms and broadcast technologies is creating vast opportunities for application developers, content providers and technology companies alike.
The IBC Mobile Zone has been created to bring together all the latest advances in technology and applications to demonstrate the possibilities and opportunities arising from this revolution. In addition, to showcasing the latest developments in mobile TV and 3G services, the Mobile Zone will feature the latest innovations in mobile devices and explore their impact on the creation, management and delivery of content. The accompanying IBC Mobile Zone Business Briefings will examine some of the issues and opportunities arising from this revolution in mobility in further detail.
Last year's exhibition and business briefings featured many of the world's leading organisations in the field of mobile content delivery. Exhibitors included: Adobe, The Bridge Networks, Agilent Technologies, MobiTV, Teamcast, Expway, Gemalto, Nagravision, Streamezzo, BMCO Forum, Siano Mobile Silicon, Larcan and Newport Media Inc.
The IBC 2009 Mobile Zone, which runs from September 11 - 15 2009 at the RAI, Amsterdam, is being jointly developed and marketed by IBC, IT Europa and BPL Business Media.
