Nice Shoes graded high definition Super Bowl spots with da Vinci

da Vinci's 2K Plus˙ image enhancement system has been used by New York-based commercial post house Nice Shoes for colour correction of high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) Super Bowl XL spots for Alka Seltzer, Aleve, Panasonic, Pizza Hut, and the NFL.
The high-profile spots aired leading into and during the February 5 game, which was simulcast in HD and SD on host network ABC.
"While our advanced colour enhancement tools are leaders in feature film work, they have long been powerful solutions for commercial and television post work as well, delivering flexible, intuitive control and unmatched toolsets that enable the type of creative vision typified by Super Bowl spots," said Bill Robertson, vice president and general manager of da Vinci Systems. "The 2K Plus is designed to enable realization of just the right look and feel, and we enjoyed seeing the results of Nice Shoes' creative efforts as we watched the big game."
The 2K Plus, da Vinci Systems' Emmy Award-winning image enhancement system, offers real-time HD processing, making it a natural choice for the emerging HD television market. Designed for the television and motion picture industries, the 2K Plus delivers an extraordinary set of tools to the colourist no matter the size or scope of the job.
Nice Shoes has relied on da Vinci's 2K Plus for colour correction of other high-profile HD sports spots including a series of five 30-second commercials created by Spike Lee for the New York Knicks.
