da Vinci 2K Plus pairs with Thomson's new Spirit 4K DataCine
Da Vinci Systems has announced that its industry-leading 2K Plus colour correction system provides support for Thomson's new Grass Valley brand Spirit 4K DataCine, which handles image resolutions up to 4K.
Together the two systems provide postproduction facilities with unprecedented image quality and enhancement capabilities built on the companies' strong history of technological integration.
"The Spirit 4K is the next generation of our DataCine system, and it's natural that it should operate closely with da Vinci's advanced 2K Plus colour correction system to set a new standard for image quality in the high-end commercial, media mastering, and digital intermediate markets," said Rainer Knebel, marketing director for postproduction solutions at Thomson Broadcast & Media Solutions. "This product pairing is the next step forward for post-production facilities."
