HTV WEST LAUNCHES REGIONAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN

HTV WEST the ITV broadcasters for the West of England and Wales are spending £100,000 on a programme marketing campaign in their region.
On-screen promotions will be supplemented by a number of prime 48-sheet poster sites around the region to ensure maximum impact and coverage.
The initial month-long campaign will commence on November 13, followed by a second follow-up campaign in the New Year.
Sandra Jones, Controller of HTV West and Director of Regional Programmes, said: “For quality British-made programming HTV is the number one choice for viewers in the West. Despite the multiplicity of channels now available, not one of them is as rooted in the community as HTV West, and our relationship with our viewers will be strengthened by this campaign.”
The on-screen campaign features HTV West main News ‘anchors’ Kevin Owen and Sherrie Eugene, with viewers, carrying the message, ‘What’s Going On? – We’ll Tell You What’s Going On’, while the roadside posters carry images of ITV drama favourites Sarah Lancashire, John Thaw and Robson Green.
The brief was to raise the profile of HTV West through wider recognition of the quality of the drama and general ABC1 programming the station broadcasts, along with the regional HTV News programmes, as well as the general service the company provides to the region.
The pitch and delivery has been executed by advertising and marketing consultants Golley Slater, who have offices in Bristol and Cardiff.
