WALKER JOINS HTV WEST SPORTS TEAM

JOURNALIST Rob Walker, has joined HTV West's sports reporting and presentation team at their studios in Bristol.
Walker said: “It’s an absolutely superb sporting patch to work on. Four colourful football teams, two top quality cricketing sides, and Bath, Bristol and Gloucester, three of the best rugby union outfits in the country. For anyone who likes their sport, it’s a fantastic opportunity.”
Walker, who comes from Abingdon near Oxford, studied English and Drama at Exeter University for three years, followed by a year as full-time president in the Student Union.
Head of News at HTV West, Steve Egginton said: “Rob’s a welcome and enthusiastic addition to our sports team, who are busy revamping our soccer and sports chat shows, as well as developing our sports content on our website.”
Walker has covered mid-week sport for BBC Radio Cornwall and worked as a sports reporter for 15 months at Westcountry Television.
