ITV chooses AP Entertainment
AP Entertainment now provides all four ITV channels with entertainment programmes, confirming its position as not only the world's leading entertainment video news provider, but increasingly a major force in entertainment programme making.
AP Entertainment, the entertainment video news division of The Associated Press, the world’s largest and oldest news agency, has been commissioned by ITV4 to make Entertainment Xtra, a weekly entertainment news show on air now.
This commission means that AP Entertainment now makes programmes for all four ITV channels: Entertainment NOW on ITV1; Movies NOW on ITV2; Film File on ITV3; Entertainment Xtra on ITV4
“This is simply unprecedented,” said AP Entertainment Editor Katherine Smith. “Because we supply over 300 television stations worldwide with entertainment news, we do get most of the A-list interviews and scoops, but until recently we’ve only been recognized as the world’s leading entertainment video news provider.
“Now more and more commissioning editors are realising that AP Entertainment can also make top quality entertainment programmes, whether for television, mobile operators or websites”.
