VISLINK News and Entertainment is featuring Advent NewsLite, a portable, IP-enabled SatCom terminal designed for use with current and new lightweight antenna systems at the their stand at NAB (C6019)
This modular solution combines the performance of high bandwidth broadcast contribution feeds with the flexibility of BGAN type newsgathering and creates new remote connectivity applications.
Newslite's ergonomic design is IATA weight compliant for airport baggage handling and its modular electronics support a broad range of satellite antennas. The system on display at NAB introduces a cost effective "two box" sub 23 kg solution when combined with the 1m Advent Mantis antenna.
NewsLite is packaged and configured specifically for SNG and rapid deployment applications. The NewsLite 6000 represents a new way of transmitting content back to the studio from the field. Aimed at the SNG market as a single box solution for remote contribution, NewsLite contains all the electronics and amplifier required for a typical SNG deployment.
NewsLite uses traditional satellite technology, Wi-Fi and 3G/4G networks - coupled with the additional option of VISLINK's gateway functionality - making it a truly unique prospect for live contribution.
