Zodiak Entertainment Appoints Jorg Roth As COO Of Central Entertainment Division

The global content business of DeAgostini Group, Zodiak Entertainment, has appointed Jorg Roth as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Entertainment.
Roth will run the central entertainment division of the company alongside Saku Tuominen, Chief Creative Officer, with both executives reporting to Giorgio Gori, Senior Vice President of Zodiak Entertainment.
Undertaking the new role, Roth will be responsible for building a new central unit to support the implementation of the Group's creative strategy directed by Tuominen. The acquisitions team will move along with Roth to the new central unit and several further recruits are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Giorgio Gori said: "Jorg's passion and experience in the international television industry and his strong organisational skills make him the obvious candidate for this critical role. Jorg will be instrumental to achieving the company's full potential in the genre of entertainment and we are very confident that we are putting this task into one of the most capable pairs of hands in the industry."

Founder and Managing Director of Bullseye Television, Jorg Roth also became Managing Director of Zodiak International when Bullseye was acquired by the company in 2007. He is succeeded by Matthieu Porte, who was appointed Head of Format Sales Oo Zodiak Entertainment in March this year and Ed Crick who is promoted to Managing Director at Bullseye Productions.
