GEE BROADCAST INCITE SALES SUCCESS

FOLLOWING the release of the latest Incite software Gee Broadcast have reported significant sales in the UK
After evaluating the features of the Matrox Digisuite-based Incite editing systems offered by Gee Broadcast seven different operations all chose to pursue it.
These included three systems for the BBC, Organic online and smaller operations such as Ipswich based ‘AV Unit’, and Wilkes Iris from London.
Incite is non-linear editing software running on Matrox Digisuite, DigiSuite LE and DigiSuite DTV hardware. Incite provides an easy to use editing interface, multiple editing modes and a powerful toolkit with extensive utilities. In addition more than 15 simultaneous real-time effects can be applied with unlimited keyframing for up to two layers of video and one layer of live input video and one graphic layer. Tools for multiplayer compiling and advanced compositing, real-time titling and graphics complete a comprehensive feature set.
A new Incite audio option gives control of up to 64 real-time audio channels with 64 input/outputs, keyframeable real-time effects and with the capability of making mono, stereo and surround sound mixing.
Incite also incorporates Hybrid Editing with VLAN which provides control of more than one VTR, so one device can be used as a player and the other can be used as a recorder. This allows input of live material from one VTR to be mixed up with two streams of video and one graphic layer and then record the sequence to another VTR during playback. (CMcL)
