tpc installs Chyron Duet HyperX in highly sophisticated HD OB

Chyron Corporation has announced its association with tv productioncenter zürich’s (tpc) new HD Outside Broadcast vehicle, being demonstrated at IBC by Sony Professional Services (as prime contractor for the project).
The vehicle will be parked outside the Sony Stand 9.410 in Hall 9. Designed for this leading Swiss production company, the HD OB vehicle utilises Chyron’s powerful Duet HyperX HD/SD Character Generator (CG) with Lyric 3D+ software.
As the first European user of Chyron’s new, software selectable, HD/SD architecture, tpc will use the Duet HyperX to transmit live footage with highly sophisticated real-time 3D animation from the Men’s Downhill, Downhill combined and Super-G-events at the Winter Olympic Games taking place in Torino, Italy in February 2006. After the final medal has been awarded to the world’s elite winter athletes, tpc’s OB truck will again take to the road covering major sporting and cultural events.

The system is being installed by broadcasters across Europe for a number of world-renowned sporting events and this year has featured in the Eastbourne Ladies Tennis Championships 2005 and the French Open 2005, and will be used for the football World Cup 2006.”
