KBS Korea selects Chyron HyperX for Athens Games

Chyron Corporation has announced that major Korean broadcaster, KBS is installing seven HyperX SD character generators, Chyron's Award-Winning CG platform.
The installation is being carried out by Chyron's Korean partner Sion Media.
KBS, is debuting the HyperX SD CGs running Lyric software for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, transmitting live footage with real-time 2D and 3D animation - bringing the ultimate in graphics to the ultimate in sporting events. When the final winners have taken their places on the podium, KBS will continue to use the HyperX SD CGs in the live sports field.
Fully MOS compliant with Avid plug-ins, the HyperX SD CGs will also play a major role in live news programmes at KBS, integrating seamlessly with the broadcaster's MOS Chyron HyperX to feature at IBC
Launched at NAB 2004 and awarded Broadcast Engineering's NAB ‘Pick Hit’, Chyron's HyperX accepts both HD and SD video cards allowing real-time 2D & 3D playout of standard definition 4:3 or 16:9 graphics, or multi-format 4:3 or 16:9 high definition graphics.
