Eyeheight at the Broadcast Production Show

Additions to Eyeheight's industry-leading range of SD and HD production, postproduction and master control equipment will be introduced to the British market at the Broadcast Production Show in London's Earls Court 2 exhibition centre, June 1-3.
The SQ-2E is a dual-input squeezeback processor with integrated keying. Designed for picture-in-picture and image-squeeze applications, it can perform real-time horizontal and vertical resizing effects, individually or simultaneously. Each input can be positioned in any part of the picture area and keyed over or behind the other incoming channel. Signals can also be cropped in width or height. Compatible with 625 and 525 line formats, the SQ-2E incorporates high-quality horizontal and vertical spacial-interpolation filtering and anti-aliasing, enabling it to maintain clean display of resized programme titles and credits.
The Eyeheight irisHDi is a compact vision switcher with eight HSDI inputs, programme & preset control and two auxiliary bus outputs. Features include video mix, wipe, cut as well as U and V fades/transitions under manual or automatic control. It is structured as an 8x4 HSDI crosspoint router with referenced dual-input HSDI vision switcher. Self-contained and field upgradable, irisHDi is based on Eyeheight's new geNETics Evolution hardware platform.
Eyeheight's legalEyesHDi is a compact HD-SDI video legaliser designed for use in mobile production vehicles, post-production facilities and broadcast centres. Using full 10-bit processing, it enables producers, editors and playout facilities to ensure that their videotape master feed is within the levels set for the target delivery chain or transmitter. Occupying just 1 U high by half rack width, legalEyesHD has adjustable hard and soft clipping levels, independently controllable luma gain, chroma gain and black level and eight power-protected user memories.
Eyeheight's enigma data transcoder enables metadata and machine-control information to be transported through an SDI channel. Applications include forwarding camera pan/tilt angle and speed from the point of capture to 3D FX equipment in a post-production studio. The transcoder can also be used to deliver recorded-media details such as date, time and clock number. Data is encoded by enigma onto three user-selecteable lines within the programme blanking-interval. These are decoded back to RS-232 serial signal format, creating a compression-transparent 19.2 kbit/s data link.
All Eyeheight equipment is based on a standard modular networking platform for easy interfacing to other products in the range and to external automation systems.
