Dayang announces MagicBox Modular Interface to broadcast range

A new addition to the Dayang range of broadcast and post-production equipment, the MagicBox series of interface cards uses Serial Network Management Protocol (SNMP) for system control and monitoring will be unveiled at NAB.
Allowing easy integration with Dayang D3 equipment and a wide range of third-party products, up to 12 cards can be housed in a 3U high chassis, each card using identical hardware architecture.
The first cards in the MagicBox series are designed for video and audio noise reduction, aspect ratio conversion, SD/HD and HD/SD conversion, frame synchronisation, audio/metadata mux/demux, MPEG-4 browsing, SDI/ASI and ASI/SDI optical interfacing and MPEG- 2 transcoding. Other cards in the series include a still or animated logo inserter, audio/video/data router, processing and distribution amplifier and 8/16 input multiviewer.
The MagicBox chassis can be equipped with analogue or digital inputs and outputs.
Dayang's MagicBox will make its first exhibition appearance at the NAB Convention in Las Vegas, April 18-21.
