South West Screen awarded Investors in People status
South West Screen has been awarded Investors in People (IIP) status at a special ceremony in Bristol.
The Regional Screen Agency was presented with the award by Business West and the Lord Mayor of Bristol, Simon Cook.
South West Screen had to meet a range of criteria to reach the IIP standard. An assessor visited the agency’s Bristol-based offices in August 2004 and found the organisation’s aims and objectives are clearly defined. The agency’s staff possess a good understanding of what needs to be done to achieve those objectives and the company develops its staff effectively to improve its performance. Assessors were also pleased to note South West Screen understands the impact of its investment in people on its overall performance.
Caroline Norbury, Chief Executive of South West Screen, said: “We are delighted that South West Screen has been recognised as an Investors in People employer. It is an acknowledgement of the high standards we adhere to as an organisation, both in our internal and external activities”.
