Pixel Power Clarity used on ‘Brassed Off Britain’

Pixel Power has announced that the popular BBC interactive television show, ‘Brassed Off Britain’, utilised Pixel Power's Clarity system for the graphics in its first season debut.
The BBC producers were looking for a graphics solution that would allow them to generate sophisticated graphical analysis of live voting data, in real time. Voting data for Brassed Off Britain is gathered between telephones, website and interactive TV voters, collated by the BBC database, and then accessed by Clarity through an Excel spreadsheet.
Clarity is a family of powerful, multi-format, single and multi-channel graphics systems addressing the character generation, still/clip store and animated graphics requirements of television broadcasters and postproduction. Offered in combinations of standard and high definition formats, there are even Clarity models that can simulcast both standard and high definition from a single system.

The second channel was used to play out graphics as well, but it gave them flexibility in the how and where of playing them to air and cutting between them. The flexibility and ease of use of the Clarity design interface makes it very easy for in-house designers to work on the play-out machine itself and tailor the graphics to the exact look and feel required, which of course is a tremendous advantage in shows like this. The ease of integration and operation for special programme projects is appealing to many broadcasters throughout Europe and further afield."
