MediaCityUK Gets Clarity Graphics Generators

Pixel Power has announced the sale of its Clarity 5000 character generators to be used in brand new studios being built for MediaCityUK in Salford Quays near Manchester.
The graphics equipment had to meet a high specification: High Definition with audio and the latest video functionality, DVE and dual channel operation.
The Clarity 5000s will be used by programme makers and other media creatives when working in the studios being built out at MediaCityUK. Since different people will be using the equipment, it was important that it should be both fast and easy to use, while still offering the range of sophisticated functions required by today's programme makers. Construction of phase 1 of MediaCityUK began in Summer 2007, with completion scheduled for 2011.
The sale was made through TSL, the broadcast systems integrator, and follows a thorough evaluation of competing technology, resulting in Pixel Power winning the deal through a tender process.
TSL's CTO Julian Knight said: "The established reputation for reliability of Pixel Power's Clarity products was an important factor in the decision to purchase."
