elQuip announces ‘BIG’ Award for IBC 2004

elQuip, Master Distributor Europe for Leader, is to celebrate Leader Electronics Corporation's half-century this year with a competition open to all IBC 2004 visitors.
The elQuip Broadcast Industry Genius (BIG) Award 2004 will be presented to the contestant who most accurately completes a 12-question quiz testing visitors' knowledge of broadcast engineering from 1954 to today.
elQuip Managing Director Paul Vos said: "Leader has won no less than 11 awards for its SD and HD broadcast test equipment over the past three years. We felt it was time to create an award of our own, encouraging the broadcast industry's awareness of its own rich technical heritage.
"In case more than one contestant gets all the questions correct, we have included a tie-breaker by asking participants to predict the official total of IBC 2004 visitors. Appropriate to IBC's location, the elQuip B.I.G. Award will be based on a 3/4 litre decorated Amsterdam bierpul.
"Independently of the elQuip BIG 2004 Award, all visitors to Leader's IBC stand celebrating their personal 50th birthday during 2004 will receive a gift designed to enhance their business skills. Bring your passport or ID card!"
