Quantel eQ heads into India

Tarusha Media Services, one of the leading postproduction companies in India, has purchased a Quantel eQ editing/effects/grading and mastering system for its Mumbai-based facility.
This makes it the first facility in the country to offer the eQ as a service to its client-base.
A long-standing Editbox user, Tarusha Media was impressed by the sheer openness of the eQ system, while stating that the output options available via Quantel’s unique Resolution Co-existence have ‘added new a new area of business for the company’.
Its speed has impressed Tarusha Media too. “At one point I thought that I hadn’t hit the render button,” commented J Sumanth David, one of the long-standing Quantel operators at the company, “but what had happened was that the whole 20 second clip that I was working on had been rendered by the eQ before I realised it.”
Sumanth and fellow editor Rajiv Sundararju have gained an enviable reputation for creativity and professionalism in over a decade onlining commercials for the Indian market, with Tarusha Media’s slate encompassing an impressive array of multinational advertising agencies, leading producers and corporate houses. With the eQ’s multi-format editing features and the comprehensive toolset and features available with the new version2 software, not to mention the possibilities opened up by QColor in-context colour grading, they hope to enhance that reputation even further.
“QColor has put us ahead of any other online system available,” said Sumanth. “The options have excited our clients and we are sure that with the eQ we can scale new heights of success in India.”
